For course related issues, you should contact the course instructor. For technical difficulty, the UTHSC ITS Helpdesk can be accessed (7:30am - 5:30pm Central time) by phone (901.448.2222 or 800.413.7830), online (https://www.uthsc.edu/helpdesk/) or through email ( to [email protected]) by submitting a HelpDesk Ticket regardless of the student’s geographic location. What is A HYBRID or Blended Course?
A blended or hybrid course is a course that incorporates both face-to-face meetings or fieldwork and online components. This course is considered to be a blended course.
What is expected of me as the student in this Hybrid class?
As a graduate student, it is expected that you uphold the UTHSC Honor Code policy, fully participate in the course, submit all assignments by the published deadline, eagerness to learn, demonstrate high motivation and are respectful of others. It is expected that you read and become familiar with all documents posted on this online classroom, specifically the course syllabus. It is also expected that you communicate any concerns, difficulties or questions with the instructor sooner rather than later to allow the instructor time to assist as much as possible. Where can I find a list of approved physical therapy facilities for the clinical portion of this course?
Prior to beginning this course, you should have already been assigned to a clinical facility through the clinical internship lottery held on January 15, 2015. The approved physical therapy facilities were provided to you at that time. Now that you have been assigned to a clinic, your selection is locked in, and you are not able to change locations at this time. Should you not remember where your where assigned, please contact the course instructor. Should any issues or concerns occur during your internship, also please contact your course instructor. You will be reminded of your other classmates clinical facility placements upon the first unit of this course when using the course Facebook community page.

What is the Dress code for clinical internships?
Great question! The required dress code is stipulated by the clinical facility policy in which you have been assigned to. You should contact you clinical instructor prior to beginning on your first day to determine this dress code policy.
What is the APTA CPI? Or, Where do I find the APTA CPI?
The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Clinical Performance Instrument (CPI) is a tool that is commonly used by physical therapy institutions nationwide to assess a student's clinical performance during clinical internships. You can access the APTA CPI via the Internet at: https://cpi2.amsapps.com/user_session/new. You will have to create a log in profile and password in order to access the APTA CPI tool. You will also need to complete a free APTA CPI tool course module to learn how to accurately use the CPI tool before actually completing your CPI assessment. You will earn 0.3 CEUs for completing this course.
