Create (or use) your Facebook profile in order to access our class Facebook Community page (Idt7072 - PT603 Clinical Internship I). Once you are on the correct Facebook page linked above, click to "Join Group". We will use this page frequently throughout this course to communicate with each other and collaborate together with assignments. Be sure to refresh yourself with the class online etiquette guidelines at the bottom of the Online Courses page, as your online participation counts towards your participation points. Participation points can and will be deducted for improper online communication or behavior.
3. Complete the Icebreaker Activity.
Once you have been granted access to the class Facebook page (Idt7072 - PT603 Clinical Internship I) by the Administrator (me), you will be able to begin communicating with your classmates. In order to demonstrate that you are present in the group, post a comment that includes the name of your clinical internship facility and list the type of setting of your clinical facility (e.g. outpatient orthopedics, acute care hospital, inpatient rehabilitation facility, skilled nursing).
(*Please note that when you click on the Facebook page link above that it will take you to a new tab within your browser. You will need to click back on this online course tab in your browser to proceed working on this unit. This applies to all articles and downloads within this online classroom.) Then, while completing the facility orientation at your clinic, be sure to review your facility's dress code policy. As an icebreaker activity, find a picture on the Internet or post a picture of yourself demonstrating a subtle dress code policy violation. If you post a picture of yourself, feel free to cover your face if desired. Once you post your picture on the class Facebook discussion page, your next task is to comment on a minimum of 3 other posts from your classmates to point out their subtle dress code violations. |
It is the responsibility of the person that originally posted the picture to monitor the comments and ensure that the correct answer is eventually posted given there is a variability of answers, or if no correct answer is guessed. Your picture must be posted 2 days before the end of this unit in order to earn full participation points and to allow your classmates to respond to your post.
